End-of-Summer

End-of-Summer

The air is thick, and you can feel the battle between Summer and Fall

Young and old

The hot summer days are being pushed away by the windy autumn evenings

There is a gust of heat within the last few weeks of its ending

And Summer sends its army out into an inevitable change of age

The swarms of bugs and insects gather around in their final patches of heat,

Tormenting the air, and trying not to die in the swirl of Fall’s winds.

The air smells of crisp pumpkins and watermelon

A clash of flavors, a clash of vines

Some trees begin giving in to the slow change that calls, their leaves change colors

During the bittersweet end-of-summer battle with Fall.

Beaming warm sun, and cool breeze
